Healthy
Living
The aim of this project is
to empower our members to learn new skills to improve their health and
that of their families. We provide Healthy Living training through healthy
cooking classes, exercise sessions and talks given by health specialists.
We also focus on looking after emotional and mental well being by
providing our Listening service. When funding is available we provide
massage therapies.
We believe it’s never
too late to change your habits, and by establishing a healthy lifestyle
now, you'll continue to reap the rewards in the future. We focus on small
yet long term changes in lifestyle that can reduce the risk of heart
disease, cancer and diabetes, and more than anything make our members feel
good about themselves!
When it comes to getting
active, every little helps. Henna supports our members by providing women
only yoga lessons and exercise with music. For an updated list of classes,
please look at our schedule.

Traditionally women cook
and set routines for the other members of their families. Henna believes
that by empowering women to adapt healthier choices, we will improve the
health and well being of the whole family.
